Abstract:“The New Warriors” was a diatribe against those in the armed forces and military commentators who refused to let go of the Second World War as a paradigm for Canadian military activity and those who denegrated the commitment of Canadian soldiers in operations in the 1990s by comparing those operations to the First and Second World War. It was the first time I used the “Disco era leadership in a Gansgsta Rap world” comment which some felt was needlessly provocative.
