Getting interviewed by media today on the November 1956 crash of the B-47 north of Thunder Bay. This occurred during the Hungarian-Suez crisis and it was part of a 72-bomber SAC flourish in the Arctic directed at Nikita Khrushchev….after he sent more than 20 Soviet bombers into the Arctic. I have a paper undergoing peer review dealing with nuclear signalling between Eisenhower and Khrushchev during this crisis. More to follow!
